The Asian American Business Development Center Honors Virtelligence’s Founder
Virtelligence is proud to announce that our founder and CEO, Akhtar Chaudhri, has been selected to receive the prestigious 2016 Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award. The award is given to Americans of Asian descent with successful achievements in the field of business.
Under Akhtar’s guidance, Virtelligence has won a series of awards, including: Inc 5000’s Fastest Growing Private Companies, Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal’s “Great Places to Work,” and Healthcare Informatics Magazine’s Top 100 Healthcare IT Companies (HCI-100). Chaudhri has also been personally honored by Twin Cities Business Magazine (TCB Mag) as a Small Business Success Story, as well as in Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal as a Diversity in Business leader.
In addition to these professional accomplishments, Chaudhri has also navigated Virtelligence into the realms of community service. Virtelligence supports St. David’s Center for Child & Family Development through monetary contributions and investments of time, Courage Center through participation in fundraising programs, Human Development Foundation (HDF) through active support in their causes, Autism Speaks through support of projects based in Minnesota, and North Memorial Community Foundation through caring and financial support.
“I’m humbled and honored to be recognized by the AABDC as one of 2016’s Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business. It is an incredible distinction to be mentioned alongside these other prestigious recipients – they are a truly remarkable group of business and thought leaders. I’m grateful for the AABDC for providing this platform to recognize excellent members of the Asian American Community,” said Chaudhri.
Before he founded Virtelligence in 1998, Chaudhri held Management Positions at Health Systems and Fortune 500 companies, including United Healthcare Group. He was also an experienced manager for Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). Chaudhri earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Information Systems from Utah State University.
